The Christmas Quest

The Christmas Quest is a festive adventure movie filmed extensively in Iceland, starring Lacey Chabert and Kristoffer Polaha. Combining holiday romance with an Indiana Jones–style treasure hunt, the story follows an archaeologist and her ex-husband as they search for the legendary treasure of the Yule Lads at Christmastime.

The production made full use of Iceland’s dramatic filming locations, from glaciers and lava caves to Reykjavík landmarks and cozy Christmas markets. Viewers will recognize Hallgrímskirkja church, Skálholt Cathedral, Ingólfstorg Square, Perlan, and the Yule Cat statue, alongside natural wonders like Kvernufoss waterfall, Raufarhólshellir lava tunnel, Sólheimajökull glacier, and Yoda’s Cave.
